Kawaii!

Hello bloggers, tweeters and people who like to buy adorable things (should that "who" have been "that"?  Someone confirm!) I have been working on this section for quite some time, as you may have noted by my not being here.
"Kawaii" is a Japanese word that can be translated as "cute" or "adorable" but actually means both those things and neither of them and something else for which there is no English word, but that would be a very long shop-section title, so I just went with "Kawaii".
I'm going to try to present these items in some sort of order.  I'll start with hair clips because, you've probably noticed, I make a lot of those.  I'll also divide the hair clips into different types.
As always, I've photographed everything with an Australian 5c coin and a US 1c coin to give an idea of size.
Postage within Australia is included in the price, there is a flat-rate of $6.00 for international orders.

Hair Clips

Standard snap hair clips

The following clips are all made on a snap clip like the one pictured above. The clip measures 5cm.

Pretty Pirate

What's more adorable than skulls with bows on?!  Probably a lot of things, if I'm honest, but I'm going to kick off the section with these toothy-grinned ladies anyhow.  The clips are hand-painted red to match their sweet little bows, their eyes are sparkly and blue.

Teddy Bear Love

Look at these cute little guys!  The bears are centred on small floral love hearts.  Little bits of pastel colour poke out from behind their sweet faces.  The clips are hand-painted pastel pink to tone in with the flowers.

Teddy Bear Bows

Maybe you like more formal teddy bears?  Here they are in bow ties!  The clips are hand-painted pastel pink, the bows are mustard in colour.

Purple Love Hearts

Maybe you prefer your bows with hearts rather than bears?  I've heard about people like you.  I don't think it's weird, promise!  To prove it, I made these just for you.
The purple diamante heart measures 2cm across, and it sits on a delightful polka-dotted bow which measures 4cm across.  The clip is unpainted silver-tone.

Purple Handbag

Perhaps you like your polka-dotted purple things to be more practical.  What could be more practical than a handbag?  The handbag measures 3.5cm wide and the polka dots are sparkly silver in colour.  The clips are hand-painted purple.

Gingham- Pink

Yes, you're going to be seeing bows a lot in this section.  This time it's pink gingham ones! :-D

Strawberry

Sometimes fruit is cute.  Just look at Mr. Banana (shameless cross-promotion there).
These little strawberries look sweet enough to eat!... but don't.  The sequins will stick in your teeth.

French Barrette Clips

French barrette clips are the fun ones that go "POING!" when you open them.  The clip measures 3cm but the design is almost always wider than the clip.  The clip is not a visible part of the design in this style.

Maybe you prefer your sequined strawberries on a clip that goes "POING!" or maybe you just want more strawberries.  Either way, this is the kawaii strawberry hair clip set for you.

Love- Pink Flower

LOVE!  Because what's sweeter than love?  All you need is love, right?!... well, also oxygen, but you know what makes oxygen?  Flowers (kind of)!

So basically everything you need to survive is right here in this hair clip set.

Standard Barrette Clips

Standard barrette clips have a similar closure to French barrettes, but without the squeezy "POING!" part.  Some of the clip may be visible in the design but that is often covered by hair.  the clips measure 5cm.

Love on a Button

What could be more "cute as a button" than a button?  The hair clip set for those who like their "love" with 60% less hippie, 100% more adorable little bows.

What happens when we combine the three most adorable things in the universe?  Polka-dot bows on buttons!  Both the buttons and the bows are 3.5cm wide.

Perhaps you can't handle quite so much adorableness in one place, or perhaps you just prefer your bows dotless.  This is a new variation on the design.

I'm not sure what the best part about these clips is: they're pink; they're hearts; they have cute little bows on; there's a little diamante on the bow AND they're fuzzy!

Bobby Pins

The bobby pin may be visible in the hair of not, depending how you choose to wear it.  All the bobby pins used in this section are silver-coloured.  The pins measure 5cm.

A small, wooden heart button with a little satin bow... well, I say "little"...

Smiley-face sunburst ring is adjustable.  At its smallest, it fits my index finger.  I have little fingers so I'm going to call it a Medium+

Beaded Love-Heart Ring

The ring and design are formed from a single piece of copper wire.  Because of how the ring is made, it is absolutely unique and there will never be another one exactly like it.

The ring can be sqeezed to make it smaller but due to the design cannot easily be made larger than the original size.  Ring is Small-Medium, beaded heart design measures 4.5cm from top to bottom.

Rainy Weather...

Breaking my own rules today as the rainy weather has meant no nice natural light to get accurate pictures of my pretties for the blog.

Rainbow Collection

Hi everyone!  Rainbow colour schemes have always been a favourite of mine, because why have one or two colours when you could have six, seven or even eight?
I've put together a little showcase here of my rainbow pieces.  I've arranged the items by type so you can clearly see what you are buying.
All prices are in Australian$ and include postage, because that is easier for my brain.

Rainbow Fridge Magnet

This magnet is hand painted and adorned with heart-shaped gems.  The flow of paint illustrates the flow of love.  It's all very artsy.

Rustic Rainbow Doorstop



This doorstop will add a little cheer to any room!... at least any room with a door to stop.  It is hand painted and sealed to stop it getting, um, "rustic-er".
It is 16cm long (including handle), 3.5cm wide, and the wedge is 2.5cm at the highest point.  That should stop most doors in my opinion*

*not a guarantee, your door may know martial arts and this would change everything.
